“Song of matter” is a device which reads sound out of a liquid structure: a laser, pointed at a photoreceptor cell, passes through moving fluids. A pump is shooting air through channelling pipes at the base of the fluid container. The differences in density, created by the bubbles, disrupts the intensity of the beam, and “sonify” in real time the states and transformations of matter. The proposition take the form of a column, stacking plexiglass platforms where each level is dedicated to a specific task. The arduino brain, located near the base, manages the whole system.
